Ramcharger Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I just finished up this looong project. I put a Hasegawa V-12 in a Monogram Jag XKE. I also flared the fenders and added wider tires. Scratchbuilt solder headers and aluminum tube fuel injection stacks. It was one of those work on it a while until I got frustrated and then put it up for a while projects. The color is Testors Model Master British Green Metallic. Comments welcome!
envious8420 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Holy shoehorn, batman!! Very cool build. do you have a dremel tool? if so you can take a pointed stone to the tops of those stacks and it should clean them up quite nicely.
randx0 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 That really has the feel of a jag enthusiasts dream car great stance and color the wheels look great I love it .
RodneyBad Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Nice looking Jag. Green looks good on it. Nice Flared fenders and wheel choice. Very Sportie..
Modelmartin Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 That has a great look to it. If you do want better injection stacks, Sakatsu from Japan makes them in all sizes and they are beautiful and inexpensive. Best place to order them is Hobbylink Japan hlj.com Keep up the great work.
Nick F40 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Very nicely done indeed, a nice wheel choice and color, a Jag I always wanted.
Ramcharger Posted August 2, 2009 Author Posted August 2, 2009 Thanks for the comments guys! I would have replied earlier, but we went out of town. I think I'll replace the injector stacks, I didn't realize how bad they looked until I saw them magnified!
