Build Up Boy Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I'm workin' on a "One Off" W.J. 2000 Grand Am using a PMC diecast car as a base. The windsheild, side door glass and rear window have been painted at the manufacture (on the outside) with what you see in the pictures. What is a SAFE way to remove all of this material and leave the clear plastic good enough to accept all of the correct SLIXX decals that apply to this car? THANKS.... Marty
caine440 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Hello I do not know if this will work the way you want, but I use super clean to remove paint from old kits to redo them. I have had the clear plastic windshields come out nice and clean and clear after soaking the car body over night. in this case the I left the glass in the body as it was glued in in a way that I wanted to see what it looked like under the paint before removing it. It might take that factory paint off and not harm the clear plastic.

Thanks....Marty
