DISSAPERING DECALS (the decal fairy strikes again)

I am completly baffled how can decals just dissapear? I have been doing a model on and off for the last 6 months. It has tried me in various ways fitting etc. Well last night I went to apply the main decal to the body it fitted well and all looked good part 1 and 2 of micro sol were applied happy with the applications i went to have a coffee to give it time to work on returning an are about 1cm square had simply dissapeared.Luckily today the model shop i bought the model from said they would contact there rep and get a replacment set for me halleluya! Have any of you guys been visited by the dissapearing decal fairy ? do you know of a decal fairy capturing device ? Why do they take them? What do they do with them?

COULD WELL BE DO THEY TAKE THEM TO THE DARKEST RECESSES THAT NO ONE CAN SEE? PERHAPS IT IS A PARELLEL UNIVERSE !
