How to widen a lindy 1/8 scale slick

I just love using these slicks on my large scale models, but i wanted a wider pair for a up coming project. So here is how i did it.

i used .015 styrene to make a piece to join both slicks together from the inside.

next i wrapped the tire in styrene

here it is after a coat of flat black paint
