Anyone want to come help my model storage?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!

It is to the point in storage that I need help with it.

Brandon (Kuztommodels88) and CrazyJim are coming up and over on September 17th around 9-10am to help me out for a bit.. They are going to help me condense, sort, repack and answer my questions on the models. I guess you'd have to actually see the storage to understand why it gets crazy in there for me LOL.

I've sold around 600 so far and there still are around 1,500 left to work through.. some build, some in pieces, some missing pieces, empty boxes, boxes of bodies and of course still sealed ones.

If anyone is within driving distance and wants to swing by to help or just get a peek at the model car madness, give me a shout.

Thank you :(

Lyn I can't think of anything I enjoy more than going through model boxes and parts.(well that's not really true :(B) I really like eating) Unfortunately I live about 15 hrs away B) so you'll have to depend on the kindness of others and it sounds like that's being taken care of. You'll get through it, just hang in there.

I honestly wish I could say yes.. but usually after I leave storage if it isn't in my hand I have forgotten what is in there.. I know I had that camaro I brought it home yesterday but my bro saw it and swiped it when he stopped by last night.. evidently Mikey had one... I am sorry I just don't have the memory for models I should..

I take it you can't make it on the 17th? LOL

Lyn,

This is going to be fun. I'll bring my digital camera to take pics, some water & pop, and my 10 x 10 canopy to keep the sun off the kits and maybe the rain too. The weather last night said some tropical depression is going to stay way east so a hurricane shouldn't bother us.

Think Shane and matt will get jealous with your supply of kits?

I'm going to have a cooler of water, soda and some snacks too. I haven't seen the word Pop in years.

I haven't told Shane yet that I have another one of the fliptop birds, I'll let you tell him hahaha..

I also have to hide the stack of porches I have by the door so Brandon doesn't faint when he sees them.

I'm looking forward to this, it will be like watching a bunch of kids on Christmas morning

Not in the least jim. Matt and I never get jealous about plastic. Shame on you Jim for even thinking that way... :D

Lyn I wish I could come help you as well. I'm in Texas and just cant make the trip.

But if you want to let go of that funny car and no one has claimed it yet, let me know ;)

have you built the other model yet? if so i would love to see a picture of it :D

Not yet Lyn, But it is in the pile to build. I was extremely pleased when you offered it for sale on the auction site as it was one of my childhood favorites as well as in my collection that I sold off 10 years ago. Its definitely getting built..

Sure wish I was in that area. It would be great to see such a collection and meet a lot of like-minded folks.

If you run across any boxes of pre-1950 cars (year of the car, not year the model was produced) bodies and/or parts, I might be interested. I'm always looking for the next big parts box build and I always love digging through parts boxes... My cat knocked over one of my tall storage parts drawer thingies and though I was irritated, I enjoyed sorting all the parts all over again... I know that's sick but hey, it's a hobby...

Ya know Lyn, if you were doing this, say, in January, my Minnesota butt would be there in a heartbeat. But we're not and I can't. LOL

Have fun, it should be anyway.

Anyone there helping her, please note, I am looking for the Revell Premium BMW 850i in either cabrio(Monte Carlo) or hardtop version.

Have fun guys! I look forward to seeing the pictures.
