Hey All. Im pretty much a beginner, I have been doing cars for a while, but not too seriously, but I would really like to get into it.

So here is my question:

I bought a 70 Chevelle SS Revell Kit. I recently went to a car show and saw an Plymouth Duster painted White with Gold Detailing sp I am painting the chevelle in the same way. How would I make the striping decals from white to gold or make my own????

Also The rims come stock in chrome, How would I paint these in gold? would I sand the chrome and paint em, or just go ahead and paint em??

PLEASE HELP!!

Dylan

The rims can be sprayed with a yellow gold tinted clear right over the chrome. I've done it to get a brass look and there's no problem. You can even clear them after you get the color you want. As for the decals, you should be able to scan them and change the color in photo shop and print them out in a gold color but not a metallic gold.
