Crazy Ed Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Got this not long ago from Hobby Link Japan, and for those of you that are planning to build Chaparral 2, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2H, 2J, or 2K's this is a Wonderful book with LOTS of Color Shots of the Restored Cars at Midland Texas. There's more Detail shots (IN Color No Less) of each of these Cars than and of the other Chaparral Books I have. You'll also get good Cockpit Shots for all but the 2H. Also included is information on Jim Halls post CanAm Racing Efforts right up to the Last Race won by one of Jim Hall's Cars - The 1996 Miami Indy Car race driven by a Rookie names Gil de Ferran. The Text is Japanese / English. IMHO, if you're a fan of the White Cars from Midland Texas and their Creator, this would be a wonderful addition to your Library. Eshaver Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Ed, it was about 1966 when I did the book report on the Shelby book . I do remember where he did it and yes I have even run into some mechanics around Houston who worked with Carroll Shelby as they remember the time too. Still , about the only story that sticks with me was the way he always wanted to beat the Bird Cage Massaratti's Ed Shaver
