RodneyBad Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Lets see if I get any responses from this Well lets try and be a little more Positive. The Custom kit looks good on it with the molded in Skirts. A lower Profile tires will Drop it in the weeds. How about a Metallic Green with white top and interior? See? I commented
Lownslow Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 off to a good start, what about some purple with fades and some fat whites

dryvr12 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Year doesn't match, but you can go for a "Metallicar" look. (from some show all the highschool girls watch) http://waywardson.whendarknessfalls.net/wa.../metallicar.jpg
evilone Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 CRAGERS holy ###### get some 520's for it please thats screams 70's lowrider
RodneyBad Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I tried the lower profile and man you know it dropped right to the weeds, right to dragging the skirts, and CBP is a build up of 1960-69 chevy, but you can use only stuff and or parts that would of been in that time period so I was kinda limited, dang rulez Cut the top of the tires off? Who said that? A little flat spot on the bottom of the tires to indicate the weight of the Chevy?
pharr7226 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I like the front and rear end treatment.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 OK been awhile, not much of an update, as I've been in a builder block for some time, now I'm out of supplies, ahhh but I will get over it, I did the engine, not the best I've done but it will have to work, scratch built the dizzy, and took the super charger and Webber carbs out of a '57 chevy kit, and yep sure enough, they fit the 409, and I have just got to get rid of that darn axle thru the block, it looks tacky, anyway, hay she may be low, but aint no one said she had to be slow....
wgflatliner Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 i like it. how about house of kolor blurple?
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 i like it. how about house of kolor blurple? Now that sounds like an idea, got me thinking now, I was thinking Pavo Purple anyway, hmmmmmm???
diymirage Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 This a build I got going on over at my forum, CBP build, here are the shots upto date, now is it a tail drager, or low rider? no idea what a taildragger is but it is looking way to classy to be a slowrider keep it up man (at the risk of making a mockery of it afterall , how bout a two tone deep bleu/purple paintjob? )
Lownslow Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 the fenders are skirted over the tires look like a taildragger to me
Nick Winter Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 OK been awhile, not much of an update, as I've been in a builder block for some time, now I'm out of supplies, ahhh but I will get over it, I did the engine, not the best I've done but it will have to work, scratch built the dizzy, and took the super charger and Webber carbs out of a '57 chevy kit, and yep sure enough, they fit the 409, and I have just got to get rid of that darn axle thru the block, it looks tacky, anyway, hay she may be low, but aint no one said she had to be slow.... looks good, and the reason why the '57 Checy parts fit your 409 so well is that it's a direct swap, 409 to 409.
Custom Hearse Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Looks awesome Michael! I like the work you've done on it!
oldscool Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I like what you are doing with it. That is one of the neatest engine setups AMT ever did. By thw way, those are not Weber carbs they are one barrel Carters.
horsepower Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I tried the lower profile and man you know it dropped right to the weeds, right to dragging the skirts, and CBP is a build up of 1960-69 chevy, but you can use only stuff and or parts that would of been in that time period so I was kinda limited, dang rulez And Lownslow, I like the color idea, and I did the fat whites, and it just didn't seem to fit,, so basically, I'm at a standstill for now, becouse I cant do the interior till I have a color, one suggestion was a base of gold with kandy orange fade over that, just dunno... Use the little 13 inch wheels & tires from any of the lowrider kits/companies, that will put it down there, & is something that is period (Corvair wheels had the same bolt pattern & were used to get down in the weeds without any suspension mods).
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) It's looking good Michael. It's been a little while hasn't it? Looks like you have it going your way now. I think it would look nice in a dark candy blue with maybe a white top. One bit of advice I can give you is to make sure the grille fits because mine didn't. I think there was a problem with the hood fitting the grille also. I glued the hood shut on mine. Did you ever come up with some lakes pipes for it? As a matter of fact I got the perfect set of Lake pipes for it. and as a thought I will use bellflowers out the rear as the fuctioning pipes, which should give it an even lower look, Ahhh the grill, when I test fit it all together with the grill I have a slight lift to the hood, thought it was the pully belt, now I have someplace else to look, thanks for the heads up... juergen Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 hi !!! looks like the next killer built !!! your design work is so perfect !!! wait for more pics greets juergen
ale8oneboy Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Look'n sweet with the skirts. Know what you mean about the axle through the motor. I never understood why AMT did this on a bunch of kits years ago.
Mercman Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Here's a color combo idea for you. I did this one in HOK Candy Rootbeer over Pagan Gold base. Roof is are Testor's Light Ivory, and interior was done in acryllic Antique White craft paint, (waterbase). I used the wheels and tires from Amt 49 Merc. I built this for my best friend for his Birthday. He had a 64 like this in High school, ut never got it to this color like he wanted. Mercman
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 OK WOW, about time I put this back up, man, well here it is fresh out of paint, not much of an update but something none the less, color is Krylon silver with Dupli-Color Cherry Red Pearl, anyway,
Modlbldr Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Michael- That is looking good although I think it would have looked better in Metallic Purple. Either way it looks killer. You do need a white top and some skinny white walls. Later-
