 Lets see if I get any responses from this

Well lets try and be a little more Positive. :D

The Custom kit looks good on it with the molded in Skirts.

A lower Profile tires will Drop it in the weeds.

How about a Metallic Green with white top and interior?

See?

I commented

I tried the lower profile and man you know it dropped right to the weeds, right to dragging the skirts, and CBP is a build up of 1960-69 chevy, but you can use only stuff and or parts that would of been in that time period  so I was kinda limited, dang rulez :P

Cut the top of the tires off? :)

Who said that?

A little flat spot on the bottom of the tires to indicate the weight of the Chevy?

OK been awhile, not much of an update, as I've been in a builder block for some time, now I'm out of supplies, ahhh but I will get over it, I did the engine, not the best I've done but it will have to work, scratch built the dizzy, and took the super charger and Webber carbs out of a '57 chevy kit, and yep sure enough, they fit the 409, and I have just got to get rid of that darn axle thru the block, it looks tacky, anyway, hay she may be low, but aint no one said she had to be slow....

no idea what a taildragger is but it is looking way to classy to be a slowrider

(at the risk of making a mockery of it afterall , how bout a two tone deep bleu/purple paintjob? )

looks good, and the reason why the '57 Checy parts fit your 409 so well is that it's a direct swap, 409 to 409. B)

I like what you are doing with it. That is one of the neatest engine setups AMT ever did. By thw way, those are not Weber carbs they are one barrel Carters.

And Lownslow, I like the color idea, and I did the fat whites, and it just didn't seem to fit,, so basically, I'm at a standstill for now, becouse I cant do the interior till I have a color, one suggestion was a base of gold with kandy orange fade over that,

just dunno...

Use the little 13 inch wheels & tires from any of the lowrider kits/companies, that will put it down there, & is something that is period (Corvair wheels had the same bolt pattern & were used to get down in the weeds without any suspension mods). ;)

It's looking good Michael. It's been a little while hasn't it? Looks like you have it going your way now. I think it would look nice in a dark candy blue with maybe a white top. One bit of advice I can give you is to make sure the grille fits because mine didn't. I think there was a problem with the hood fitting the grille also. I glued the hood shut on mine. Did you ever come up with some lakes pipes for it?

As a matter of fact I got the perfect set of Lake pipes for it. and as a thought I will use bellflowers out the rear as the fuctioning pipes, which should give it an even lower look,

Ahhh the grill, when I test fit it all together with the grill I have a slight lift to the hood, thought it was the pully belt, now I have someplace else to look, thanks for the heads up...

Here's a color combo idea for you. I did this one in HOK Candy Rootbeer over Pagan Gold base. Roof is are Testor's Light Ivory, and interior was done in acryllic Antique White craft paint, (waterbase).

I used the wheels and tires from Amt 49 Merc. I built this for my best friend for his Birthday. He had a 64 like this in High school, ut never got it to this color like he wanted.

Michael-

That is looking good although I think it would have looked better in Metallic Purple. Either way it looks killer. You do need a white top and some skinny white walls.
