Well, I was out of work for almost 5 months and had to relocate to start another job. This being my third job in a year, I hope it lasts.

Peter, You really got your s@^t together, well said!! I wish I could speak on such a topic with the passion you have exhibited. If only the rest of America felt the same as you.

As far as Hummer goes, it was GM, Government Motors(formerly General Motors), that sold them, to an industrial machinery manufacturer in China. The buyer, Tengzhong, gets 80% and a private investor, Suolang Duoji, gets 20%. But, Suolang Duoji also owns a large stake in Tengzhong as well. It sold for $150 million, roughly 30% of the expected cost, though the deal has yet to be approved by either government. I wonder whose pockets got.......,I mean, what happened to the other 70% of the expected price, some 350 million dollars.

On a better note, I entered my first contest today at Hobbytown USA in Kennesaw, Ga and got first place with my Peterbilt 378 tri drive.

In memory of Paul Harvey.....Good Day!

I'm self-employed (have been for over 20 years).

Don't know if "self-employed" is just another name for "unemployed"...

On the plus side, I'll never get laid off or fired. On the minus side, my work volume rises and falls with the economy, so right now I have much less work than I've had in the past. You could say that right now I'm "under-employed."
