Guest JamesDE Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Started working on this one a while back. I was originally going to just build it box stock, but I am rarely satisfied with a box stock build. So here goes what I have been doing with this.
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 The master's at it again. Great start, James.
vizio93 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 love the stance man. wat color are you gonna paint 'er ?
Guest JamesDE Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Thanks guys. I appreciate that. As far as colors go, I am still unsure. Its a toss up between Coral Blue, Red, or Black.
CB Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Very cool James-- don't think I ever seen a 49 Merc convert. Can't wait to see how you handle the rear seat area. Love them doors and that hood-- Oh, and I vote for the Coral Blue color
lonewolf01 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 like the clean lines. how did you do the hinges ?this looks like a good start for a tuteral
93Z34 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I like what you did with the hood on this Merc. I have several of these kits myself and would like to modify the hoods on a couple myself. That modification just makes the car look smoother in my opinion. I'm also partial to the Coral Blue as well.
Guest JamesDE Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Thanks fellas. Im partial to the Coral blue as well. As far as hinging goes. I havent hinged this yet. Blue tape is holding the doors on at the moment. I usually use styrene tubing and thin paper clips to make the hinges.
