ScottN Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I started this about a year ago. It is my first model since getting back into the hobby last year. I work for one of the sales reps for Jada toys and got this model and their C6 Vette (which is next on the bench). I decided to do this one box stock just to get my feet wet and get back in the swing of things. Here is the box art and the pieces ready to be washed. I was quite impressed with the casting of the pieces, very clean and crisp detail. I have noticed that turn indicators on the sides bump out which is not correct but I don't think I will change that on this model. I also think this is tooled from Jada's die cast version because the detail is minimal.
Greg Cullinan Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Looks like its all there. Are you going to duplicate clolrs on box?
ScottN Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 The plan is to match the Tungsten version of this car. Basically silver with white strips and black interior. should have more up tonight.
ScottN Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 well here is a small update on the ford. Everything all primed after a good sanding and cleaning. and the engine mock up. I gave the some of the silver parts a wash to help pop the detail. kinda hard to see in these photos. I also gave the valve covers and the tranny a dry brush to help give some definition to those parts.
beefheart22 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Keeping my eye on your build. That engine is looking good.
