I saw similar cars in IMSA GTP racing at the Glen and Poconos. I saw Holbert's Lowenbrau 962 and Hans Stuck driving the Coke 962. I also saw the Corvette GTP and the Group44 Jag to name a few. The Jag sounded more like a V8 even though it was a V12.

Well, that's disheartening. The thread said '1985 Lemans'. Imagine my chagrin when, instead of seeing pics of that crappy Korean built Opel, there's pics of a whole bunch of ^%$ *&^% race cars. Cool stuff, BTW.

i believe i saw cars at least similar to those at sears point calif back in the mid 80s. totally tore up the back stretches and into turn 7 i think it was, the tight hairpin right before the slightly doglegged long straight. to hear their motors blasting by was really awe inspiring.
