Sweeeet! The Eliminator is my all time favorite street rod. I got to see it again in person this summer at the Henry Ford museum. I have one of these models in my curio cabinet. My Dad loves that car too. I'll be looking forward to seeing yours with the doors open!

P.S. on my Eliminator I used Model Masters Italian Red with the Model Master clear. I matched it to a still image from the beginning of the "Gimme All Your Lovin" video.

I've got the Monogram kit, so I'm gonna watch this and see how it goes. It looks good so far.

Erik, yours looks great! Thanks for posting the color, I was wondering what to use on it.

The eliminator wasn't stolen...

"As regards to the actual Eliminator car’s post-MTV existence, the coupe went on to enjoy a lengthy period during which it was carted off to various automobile conventions. As befits a legend, upon arrival it was invariably cordoned off and augmented with visual accouterments intended to approximate the models who accompanied the car in the videos. Today, fans can view the vehicle on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where it has been housed since the late ’90s."

Hmm it seems you are correct. It was at henry ford for the "rockstars, cars, and guitars" display kinda recently. Supposedly 2 are known to exist, the real one, and a clone used in some videos and a tv show or two. Maybe that was the one that was stolen..... I swear I heard that in the 90's..... oh well. That is definitely the coolest album cover ever, and this is gonna be a bada$$ model!
