simonr Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) This is what I just received yesterday from Rainbow Ten, some of these items has been long waited by me. Let's see what's in the box... Here's the complete order, in the middle line features the Gunze Sangyo Chrome Silver Metallizer(beautifull and hard to get here in the states) and Gold Metallizer along with some Mr Color lacquers. Something that I dislike from this new series is that they no longer come with the opener tip. The large Finisher's black bottle in the rear right corner, is the tool washer to be used with the urethane clear, just in case. From Finisher's Blue foundation(to be used under silver bodies), Pink Foundation(for Ferrari reds), White foundation, and their beautifull chrome silver. Another great product from Finisher's, the Urethane GP-1 clear. See how it being, here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/...inisher%27s+gp1 Another great from Finisher's, the compound kit, some modelers point it to be the best compund for model cars. This a 3 step kit. Both compound and GP-1 urethane clear, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qhyo4Z50Po http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0CfkiW51Us Another great one and out of production for some time, now it returns under Wave brand, something positive. This is the Kosutte Gin San, it works like the metallizers. You paint the part in gloss black and then rub it to get the metallic look. I've seen it working and it's impressive. Con see it working here at 6:43: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=984KU6mwQ5s Super Clear III from the Gunze Gundam lacquer line Gundam markers for panel lines..The GM003, it's a brown marker for red color bodies, some of the most used color on my modeling. The GM300 is the eraser pen, used to erase excesive paint or wash in panel lines after being applied. I guess I will have enough goodies to play with my new project that is already in production, some pictures soon... Simón P. Rivera Torres Edited October 30, 2009 by simonr
Modelmartin Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 You can't have too many supplies for model building!
Eshaver Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Simon , who is this rainbow 10 and is there a address I write to or exactly what does someone do ? Ed Shaver
935k3 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Ed, Rainbow Ten has a website. They are in Japan and they are great to do business with.
simonr Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 Ed, try this: http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/english/ In the left there's a yellow sign that say today's inventory list..you can check there Paints por cars, or what ever you like. The good thing is that for an order you just copy an paste on an email and that already include item name, brand, price, and their internal code for the item, pretty clever way to merchandise, isn't it? I hope you and all the guys from here can find interesting stuff there. This is my second order my them and definetlly won't be the last one. I suggest to pay via Paypal, it's the faster way. Checks or credit cards take like a month to bill, although they send the order. I hope it worth to wait for these order, because, as you can see here, there's some stuff that is not available in the states, or that is real hard to find. The other good thing is that they don't overprice for the shipping charges. Good luck! Simón P. Rivera Torres
Lownslow Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 ive been there before its a chore to order through them
simonr Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 Well, to me it wasn't so hard, maybe a little bit "different". Simón P. Rivera Torres
Ben Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Really cool stuff!!!!! I'd really like to know more about that automotive type clear kit that states it won't harm decals. What base is it? Laquer, urethane? Do you have any pictures of it already applied to a model?
