David G. Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 My messy work area. I was going to organize it today but I tore a chest muscle and now can't even lift a paintbrush without agonizing pain. It's even taking over my computer desk! And that nail polish is to test as a paint, not for my nails. See, look at the lower left of the pic. That's why I haven't been building much lately. Fallout New Vegas has been eating up most of my free time. Sorry to hear about the injury, I hope you feel better soon. Regards, David G.
Mr. Show Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 See, look at the lower left of the pic. That's why I haven't been building much lately. Fallout New Vegas has been eating up most of my free time. Same here. I've dumped 36 hours into it so far while I have two bodies waiting to be painted. It's tough to pull away to go do "work."
JohnnnyKaye Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Rather typical... except for the fact that I'm just starting a new project. Edited October 30, 2010 by JohnnnyKaye
DRG Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 In 1968 or 69 I purchased a 1961 Chevy Impala 409. A lot of work later I had a great looking hot car. Lot of good memories in that car. I sold it in 1973 when Paula and I got married. Wish I hadn't done that. Sold the car that is. Happy modeling everyone.
Nick Winter Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 have next week off, so I pulled all these out to work on them. And well I gotta have something to watch.
Railfreak78 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Today I actually held myself back from building until really late. I actually made myself clean up my bench area and re- organize. Also my roomate got out an old TV of mine out of the garage and some coax and now we have TV in the hobby room. Watched the Nascar Truck race for the first show Then the bench looked like this and on purpose
sobpinstriping Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Here is what my work bench looks like tonight, not as messy as usual but not as clean as it is most of the time. I bought this desk off of craigslist for $20 and I had to stripe it, I'm not done yet but I will finish it someday. cheers mat

Railfreak78 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 What are you using to hold your cans of paint? Looks great! Drew C. from S.C. Hey Drew. The paint rack is from Home Depot and was about 10 bucks. It's made for doors like in your pantry or laundry room. You can hang it over the top or screw it into the wall like I did. Works great minus 3 shelves that won't work for big cans. Those ones will be great for Tamiya or other short cans.
Agent G Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I actually started a car! Poking around in my man cave yielded some custom wheels I bought for a long forgotten project. I had my eye on a Revell Impala SS kit just lying there so I decided to build an SS that I'd drive. I had ordered a green '95 SS when child #3 announced her presence. Oh well that's life I guess. This will be the car I never got to own, British racing green, tan interior, Corvette LS1 engine and custom wheels. Stay tuned. G

Railfreak78 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Well I guess I better update this..... With this off the bench as of about 8 o'clock tonight it made room for a swarm of upcoming projects. At least 4 of these will get attention as soon as tomorrow. The Hot Wheels are there so I can take pics of them for Hot Wheel collector club on Facebook
highway Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 For once, I actually have something on the bench on a Saturday. I've been doing some work on and mock ups of my Ford LTL 9000, trying to get it wrapped up for a community build on another site that's due Dec 1.
CAL Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Well I am not completely slackmastering. I am working on a 85 3.2 Carrera.
charlie8575 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Well, I can finally contribute something to this. My "workbench" for now is a small tray table in the living room, where I also more-or-less live until we can either get the house de-screwed up or I can move back out of my parents' house. W-409 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 WOW!!! '73 Vega! MPC kit or am I blind? Quite rare kit? How is it like, good, very good, bad, very bad or even worse...? But great, that's the kit, I must buy when I see it. I have no picture, and it's already sunday but I can tell, that on my bench, '66 El Camino, '56 Victoria custom and that Finnish HotRodding Corvette...
