So the first one, in Boyd's purple pearl I'm nick naming Nightmare. I started it over 10 years ago but never finished it before leaving the hobby for a while. But after getting back into things I'm determined to get it done. Why the nick name? I swear I've painted and stipped the body 4 or 5 times trying to get the paint right. Turns out pearl paint is a real bi#@% to work with. I either sprayed to heavy and got drips and runs, or sprayed coats too soon on top of each other and got wrinkles etc. Just a pain. But I was determined to get it right and this last time I did pretty good.

It's got a few little specks of stuff in it, but I'm not going to stress over it. This is about 6 light coats built up and 4 coats of clear. It's looking good, I might not even polish it. A little foil, paint the inside and I'm calling it good. I'll drop it on the body, connect some hoses and wires and it's done.

The second one here is going to be two tone Metallic blue over the silver. The interior is almost done, just some more detail paint to do and finish the steering wheel. I guess it needs a shifter too. I took the white walls out of the AMT 1960 Starliner kit and I think they look just right.
