F1tommy Posted November 29, 2009 Share Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) We are again pleased to announce the Ferrari Expo -Strictly 43rd Revival will be held on April 24th 2010. The show will be at Continental Autosport Ferrari/Maserati near Chicago in Hinsdale, Illinois. The show will include a high quality model contest with master modelers bringing in models from as far away as Mexico and the US West coast. Several NNL and IPMS Mexico winners brought models last year to the Ferrari Expo 2009. The show will also have on display several 1/1 rare vintage sportscars including several rare Ferrari's, Maserati's and Porsche's. We will also have a racing/sportscar photo contest at the show. This show and the model/photo contest have a sportscar/Lemans/F1/ALMS/FIA/INDY/TransAm theme and is open to scales from 1/43rd to 1/6th. Classes are in 1/43rd, 1/24th-1/20th, 1/14th-1/6th along with a best of show. We will not turn away a well done model if it is in a different scale than listed. This model contest is for handbuild models only. No prebuilt diecasts can be entered. Show hours will be 9AM-4PM on Saturday April 24th 2010. Continental Autosport Ferrari/Maserati is a large Ferrari dealer located in Hinsdale, Illinois on Ogden Avenue just 15 minutes from O'hare airport in Chicago. Admission is free. A very small $3.00 entry fee to to the model contest(up to 10 models per entry) will be required to help cover award costs. This is not just a Ferrari show, but is open to all types of sportscars from Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Bugatti to Jaguar and Aston Martin. The Ferrari Expo is run by the Ferrari Club of America and is a non profit event for the F club. Tables are available. Please contact me if you require a vendor table. Have already confirmed that several of America's best modelers will be bringing models, including top modelers from Mexico!! Ramon Garcia from Mexico will be bringing another brand new Ferrari model for the show. This model contest is open to all makes of sportscars and racing/F1/FIA/Lemans/TransAm ect. This years best of show model winner will walk away with a $200.00 model gift certificate from Strada sports!! Bring your best effort as the competition is always very strong. Again confirmed, several NNL winners from Mexico will have models on display this year. Very rare to see these top quality modelers in the USA!! Can the Model car magazines continue to ignore this high quality show??
