crispy Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Brian, what kit are you using? Any colors you have in store? So far so good. Keep at it!
Railfreak78 Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Brian, what kit are you using? Any colors you have in store? So far so good. Keep at it! It's a 1988 Monogram Exotic Car Series Lambo. Almost looks like the anniversary car since it's white on the box. I've painted it black and need to buff it out still. I'm going to go with a red interior I think. I found some good pics online to get some good detail Ideas.
vizio93 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I love the Lambos !!! I can't wait to see this build come together
kyledr330 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I'm with Vizio, I love the Lambos. By the way what kit is this one?

Here's a link to some pictures I've been saving from around the net and one in particular you may like. I found it while perusing some long defunct site. Lamborghini in black with every imaginable detail shot you can think of: All Lamborghini folder @ Fotki Hope it helps some. I'm not a huge fan of the Monogram kit as I built it way back in '88 and it was missing something, just not sure what! The Fujimi kits are where it's at, but the Tamiya kit is fun too if you simply want something for the shelf. With that said, due to nostalgic reasons I will be buying the Monogram kit to replace the one I built and lost many years ago. I look forward to seeing some more pictures! Chris
Railfreak78 Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Thanks for that link it does help a lot. I'll share another secret for detail pics is check out Dupont Registry also. Right now the Lambo is getting squeezed together for the rear end chassis had a bad curve that affected the suspension and engine cage. I'm fixing it now and should meet up with the body better later on. Other than not being familiar with this platform its a fun kit!
Railfreak78 Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 I did not realise how long ago I made this post. I had just joined. I only had my cell phone for pics ( Which you camera guys yelled at me for ) I also did not have Photobucket yet and I kept asking Gregg why I only had so much space? I Have to remove photos to add new ones? So this was lost in time and I figured I'll update this car. Bad blurry start to now. This car has been to the worst and back and in it still. I have had every problem with fit on this but it is a thrift store find. MY inexperience messed up a triple black paint job with glue. Any hoot.. as always feedback and enjoy is welcome
vizio93 Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Wow it's been a while since I'd seen this build !!! Nice job, keep it up
Railfreak78 Posted December 31, 2010 Author Posted December 31, 2010 So this was my second car here on the forum and I figured after a year I better finish it. The car is almost complete now and after lots of sanding, it's time to mask and paint it again. I've learned a lot since I started this but I'm not going to go all out in detail as I want it to look like my style a year ago. Since I messed this one up I'll try a more detailed one later on.
