Lownslow
ok i had this idea, i suck at tire casting plus 8hours doesnt cut it for me. i was thinking of using Resin to make the mold then cast the tire out of silicone. would this work or is it a disaster in progress? RyanSilva
Why not use smooth-on kick-it! http://www.theengineerguy.com/67540A-Kick-It-Accelerator-1-Pint with smooth-on reoflex urethane rubber. Works great and cure time is cut down a lot!

RyanSilva
Yea the smell sucks, but I found it easy to work with, not sure if you use a pressure pot, but that makes the biggest difference.

Yes. This is the preferred method of the great Gerald Wingrove, who outlines his process in great detail in one of his books. It should work, and there are pigments available for tinting silicone.
