Gray Smith Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) Hey guys...me again..lol Well I stalled again on the 32 Roadster, its going to get finished eventually. Anyway, to ring in the new year I decided to start yet another model. This one is the very excellent 5 window kit from Revell. Its going to be kept simple, no crazy body mods, no undertrays, no super detailing on the motor..no custom mixed paint. I've included some slightly not so great phone pics..but they are something to get started. The engine has been painted in spaz-stix orange/purple/teal color shift paint. I dechromed and crinkle finished the valve covers with some uncovered chrome foil on the ridges. I do have to change the induction set-up though, its my version of an itb-fuel injection system stolen from the amt 53 ford truck hemi. I think it looks pretty cool, but what do you guys think? I've also got the option of the really cool intake set-ups from Norm to choose from as well. Wheels are from the 39 wagon rod, suspension will be lowered, minor channel on the body but thats going to be about it for mods. Paint will probably be testors one-shot white lightning or graphite dust. I'll get some better motor pics this weekend, my daughter and her mom are coming to stay for a few weeks and she's bringing the good camera. Thanks for looking guys and comments and critiques are always welcome. Gray Edited January 3, 2010 by stryfe101
vizio93 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Looking good so far, I like the wheels, and the intake
randx0 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 looks cool it reminds me of a late 80's early 90's 1:1 project/cover car I forget which mag but it was purple with yellow scallops and all wheel drive. sorry just thinking out loud(typing out loud?)
Gray Smith Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) Here are some better motor pics as promised.... I think the intake set-up i've got on here will be what sticks... though I'm going to recast the pieces with some pearl-ex powder on the mold to make them look like metal, and put on some chrome stacks instead of black, just to add some shine to the motor... Oh, and Randy that car you are thinking about is the Quadradeuce..and yeah it was very cool in its original purple incarnation..they changed it later into a billet, molded job to the likes of most modern AMBR winners... Anyway thanks for looking guys. Edited January 3, 2010 by stryfe101
