Scott S Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 mine are both T507, with the Watkins box art.Not the first issue? The watkins came later, you are correct though, they are both t-507s. the first issue was called the fruehauf van..."bigwheels" super truck kit. was to be paired up w the brown t-500 pete. mine actualy has the little envolope for the sleeperbox offer, for a buck, you got the sleeper and visor for the t-500.. pretty cool..no dateing on box but i beleive its 68,69,70 era..

mackinac359 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Yup. Two T507 kits. 1st version had the trailer facing north on I-75 near the Troy, Michigan exit in the sunset-orange sky to the west. AMT Corporation logos with a red and black Peterbilt 359 pulling it. AMT Trucking decal sheet. This version did not have a reefer unit. 2nd version had the trailer facing forward with the reefer unit visible, a Kenworth W925 pulling it, all dressed in Watkins logos. This version has the 60's style Thermo King reefer unit. Both are classic AMT box art examples. Tim
MICHAEL COLE Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 thanks tim, no big deal. i have a reefer unit from an old beer trailer. i dont think the reefer unit was shown on the box with that trailer was it? i hope round 2 has the parts for it in the reissue.

Tim Thanks for confirming that tim, i dont wanna lead anybody astray either, mine is the one with the truck faceing north on 75...very nice box art, actually came with 2 sets of the decals your referring to also...that ones a keeper for me. i also have the watkins version. Scott
falcongeorge Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I have two of the 2nd version. Some of the best AMT box art, really nice. Off topic, but scored a Johan flat box '68 Olds 442 recently, again OUTSTANDING box art. Whats with the ###### box art nowadays? I always REALLY liked the box art on the Autocar A64B too. All of these are nice enough to frame & put on the hobby room wall IMO.
Guest Johnny Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Mine is the one with Fruehauf Van with the AMT logos and the pete Conventional pulling it! Bout it one night on ebay at 2am Christmas Eve for 10 dollars shipped!
