Rusting? Any Ideas?

I havn't put any models together since 1998 and I bought one a year ago off of ebay. I didnt read the whole description and I got stuck with a incomplete 5.0 so I saved it and saw all these rusty models and it gave me an idea. So I tryed my first rustang project and here it is. Im starting my Camaro I put together 10 years ago and lost some parts so I figured I would do the same thing. Any Ideas on how to better rust a model?

There are many different ways to do rust. But before you do that, I see you are also looking for a 5.0 kit that you want to trade other stuff for.....I am assuming that is because it is incomplete (as you mention). What are you missing from the kit? I may have some parts you can have, and you won't have to rust out the car.

I already rusted it, I did not know there were forums and sites like this one. I thought the picture was showing but I cant figure out how to get more than one to load. My profile picture is the one I rusted. I would be interested in knowing what parts you have. Im waiting on a vert in the mail, was wondering if there was going to be any way to make it a fast back. When I figure out the photo uploading on this site I will be able to show off my Rustang!

hello there friend!! Imma tell u now fella once you cross theres no turning back!! lol I say that because there are so many ways to accomplish strides in this weathering arena. I just tried a new lil goody by sifting my potting soil and then sprayin a light mist on 3m adhesive spary laid some soil on it and ten minutes later brush off excess pretty cool texture..The tid bits are really n the tip and tricks section but im sure youll get enuff hits here to get yer engine runnin!!! have fun and remember try it who the heck cares!!!
