diymirage Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 I would not have believed it, if I had not seen it with my own eyes! A stock car into a low rider?!?!?! WOW! You have shown quite the "intestinal fortitude" with such a build! My plastic building hat is off to you Sir! Great job! Really like the bondo work on the rear wheel wells, I will attempt said on the '74 Chevelle convert to a '73 Chevelle, as soon as I find the '74 again! Thank You for sharing Later Russ thanks for the kind works i kinda figured, since the nascars arent truely stock anyway this isnt that far fetched right ? it is coming along nicely though i think the last big project last on this build is the headlights once those are done it should be smooth sailing smooth sailing ? huh arent those famous last words ?
diymirage Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 got the headlight done today i remember a while ago someone posted a trick in the tips and tricks section on some little rhinestone sticker like objects he found at micheals which made great sidemarkers for the 69 chargers well, i found the ones and bought a sheet of clear ones to simulate projecter style headlights here is the result i havent fully decided if im going to leave the headlights as they are or if i am going to put a clear lens over it to sit flush with the rest of the nose what do you guys think ?
Tony T Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Cool idea to make a low rider from a NASCAR kit. Does it only turn left? I think you could leave the headlights, or put a clear cover over, either way. That thing could use white walls, just a narrow wall. Use a circle template with a white gel pen.
retrobuilder Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Very Cool!!! you have inspired me to try this on one of my old stockers. keep up the good work!!!!

Use a circle template with a white gel pen. it steers just like a bike, by leaning into the turn as for the whitwalls, i was planning that at one point but then i started messing with the tires and next thing you know i had them gleud in allready Very Cool!!! you have inspired me to try this on one of my old stockers. keep up the good work!!!! thanks it be cool to see another one like this
