Doing some searches...are old posts gone forever?

Hey guys,

I saw a little snippet about the forum pruning posts that haven't had replies in 30 days or something like that. I went to my profile(and others) and did the "find topics" search and it only shows topics I started since last February. I wanted to go back and see what I've posted before that and I can't seem to find some of my threads...are they gone for good? Just wondering. I also did a regular search by user name and it seems some things are missing there too. Anybody know what the dealio is?
