1988 S10 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 how do i contact that guy? i am wanting to do that with my SVT but need some instruction, thanks
Steve H. Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Don't know... Best way I can think of is to sign his Fotki guest book and leave an email address for him to contact you.
bob paeth Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 If anyone wants to simulate an airbag suspension, in liu of springs, just go to your local plumbing store and buy the "O" rings of the appropriate size for your build. These are the "rings" that go into faucets. Just stack 'em and glue them into place. Bob
rbryant4 Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 what about notching the frame ideas???
1988 S10 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Styrene sheets.... you can cut out what you need for the notches and cut out part of the frame and replace it with the strene pieces you cut.
rbryant4 Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 i ordered a few pieces of styrene of ebay. so ill give that a try. im going to attempt a tonneau and notch and maybe a false bedfloor with speakers
minitruckermike Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 the orings are the best idea. you can get all different sizes at like lowes or home depot. i just use styrene to make the plates for the top and bottom. also you can use styrene in tube form to do the notch. i usually build my whole frame to get the stock floor body drop.
bobss396 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I like the o-ring idea. I would consider using a piece of stryene tubing or rod and drop them over the diameter. The tube would give you structural strength and something to attach it to the axle or chassis. Bob
