Guest Mustang3.8
Hey, y'all. Here's my new build. I am a fan of the show Operation Repo, so I will be building a repo truck. I will be using the Revell SnapTite Wrecker kit I got in a trade with George53. I will be cutting out the molded in engine and installing something a little more realistic. Not sure on the color, yet.
Longbox55
If you really want to help out the details on that kit, the entire chassis from the old Monogram Chevy Stepside will fit under it very nicely.
Jared Roach
I love that show!! Even though it is fake, but it's just fun to watch. You building the grey one or the orange one? I like the orange one better. You got any pics? Can't wait to see it. You should build a diorama of it hooking up to a car.

There is no grey or orange truck. The truck they use is a glossy red.

Either way it will be cool!

Railfreak78
Actually the main truck is the reddish orange truck but they do in fact use a grey Ford too. It is the one with the messed up back end. I believe its the older rig. That show is kinda corny but I watch it lol. Facebook just updated saying 2 more new episodes are coming out. Guest Mustang3.8
Ok, folks. Change of plans. Thanks to some clearification from my buddy Nick, Dukefan69, I will be attepting to build an U/C repo truck. I will attempt to attach the wrecker's axles to my '84 GMG crewcab dually. This will be a top of the line repo rig. I will also attempt to build the hydrolic wrecker arm for the box. Stay tuned, y'all.

My plan is to use the axles from the wrecker on an '84 GMC crew cab dually.

Guest Mustang3.8
Thanks, Nick. I need to find a power plant for this beast. I'm thinking big block. I'm stuck on the color, too.
Nick Winter
maybe dark grey or black
Nick W.
That is nice work so far Mustang! Good to see that there is progress on this beast! Makes me miss my 1:1.
tuffone20
I'm going to keep watching this one!! I'd like to try and build a Repo truck some time.
Guest Mustang3.8
Thanks, guys. I'm still undecided on the color. I'm thinking gloss black, or another dark color. I think this beast needs a big block. The '84 GMC motor is too small.
Nick W.
I'd say for the color maybe a dark blue that gm had in 84-85,or a black works! For the powerplant, a nice 454 or maybe even a 572!
Guest Mustang3.8
I have a small update on this beast. I just sprayed a coat of primer on the chassis. I'll get pics up asap.
