Jon Cole Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) Here is a Presidential Limousine, obviously not built by me It is a diecast 1/25 by Yat Ming, and a beaut. This car is not the "assissination car", but rather that car as it was presented back to the Whitehouse six months after JFK's murder. The car was now armored, and fitted with a fixed roof amongst other changes. One thing they didn't change is the dark blue color of the JFK car, and new president LBJ wouldn't accept that- and he sent it back to be resprayed black. One change I made to the car is the flags... Yat Ming prints them on a cloth, but in this scale, they were still too stiff. They are flat and straight out. With some help from a board member, I printed back to back flags on an Avery return address label. After removing the original flags, I wrapped the double image label around the mast, trapping heavy-duty aluminum foil in between. Once trimmed, the flags can be "shaped" to look more natural. RodneyBad Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Nice. Now why can't we get those in Plastic? Metal kits make heavy shelfs
