Jon Cole Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Lincoln 1950 Cosmopolitian Limousine originally for President Eisenhower I haven't yet photographed this one finished, but I did shoot the changes I made to mine... I tried to add detail to the Lincoln mill... why I used wire too fat is beyond me now... not to mention the reference I had said the engine was "green", so that is what I painted it, only to find out later a FORD engine green is correct! Dag nabbit! I detail painted what I could. Someone posted a photo of the real car's contintal tire cover on the 'net, I shrunk down the pic to scale, and made four copies for the car centercaps... Below is the bubbletop recieving strips of BMF. The cars top has silver paint for the chrome strips out of the box.
Eshaver Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) Jon, I'm wayyyy impressed and I've benn happy to have helped with the paint situation as I still work on the " E L Blocks such as you are trying to model . Overall, very nice portrayal of Ike's ride . Ed Shaver Edited February 15, 2010 by Eshaver
