Junkman Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Ok, ok, I may be the only person in the world getting excited about this: http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/eng/new-eng.aspx These are repops of the old LS kits, I'm convinced. The Suzuki Alto and Cervo had been reissued last year. It looks like the 1/20 LS molds are all over Shizuoka City. The Kei Cars are with Aoshima Bunka, the large cars with Arii. The Nissan Leopard has not been reissued, so it looks like this mold is lost.
elan Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 If thats what you are into, go for it. Diversity only makes things better. Not everyone is interested in '32 Fords.
Junkman Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 I'm not a fan of 1/20, but I do wish more of the old LS molds in 1/24 would turn up...they had some interesting stuff. And even the ones that have (Lambo Silhouette/Urraco) have had very sporatic reissues. I'd love to see the Celica XX (first gen Supra) come back. There is a beautiful Celica XX in 1/24 out by Aoshima currently. Could well be the old LS tool. Not everyone is interested in '32 Fords. You could say that, yes.
Junkman Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 You are correct, this generation hasn't been out in a while. The last I have seen of them was the 1/20 ex-LS issued by Arii. Arii seems to have quite a number of the LS tools. If you want to see something reissued, drop them a line. The Japanese do have the weird habit to listen to their clients and when they get many requests for a particular model, they issue what they call a 'spot' production.
