Jeff T. Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Tim I have just got done checking your web site again to see how the progress was on the "386" fairings..... And there low and behold...A trailer and...The "Flat Top 378", Plus some new stuff from 'Sourkraut'! I would love to see more on how you did the fairings for the 386? You always leave me wanting more.... I would love to see a work in progress...here? The results of and your mastery of styrene sheet never ceases' to amaze me! When my job situation changes..Ie:more money coming in, I will be getting a bunch these hoods and fairings if the fairings will be for sale. BTW....The colors of the "378 Flat Top" are gorgeous! Please Tim consider posting more WIP's here... Jeff
Pete1980 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I agree with the sharing more info on how to...lol.Tim does very awsome work and the fact that he has made so many different versions withe the same kit is great.
mackinac359 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I tend to forget to post projects.. Here is the 386 chassis fairings in reverse order... Finished product behind the 330 hood The fairings were made from the strip of plastic, then heated and bent to the basic shape. The lower fender section of from the AITM 386 hood was grafted onto the fairing. Then I made the steps and battery box cover. Plenty of filler and sanding to achieve the shape I wanted. Dave at AITM will offer these as a companion piece to the 386 hood casting. Tim
