whale392 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Well, the girlfriend finishes moving out sometime this weekend, and unfortunately the PC and internet go with her. Until I get a system, and the net to go with it, I will be limited to the work 'puter. I don't know exactly when I lose the system, but it will be this weekend. I will still be here, but limited to what I see and do.
Raul_Perez Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 It sounds like you're going to miss the computer more than you'll miss the girlfriend...
RodneyBad Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I know how that can be. But think about how much more work you can do on models while waiting to get your Own PC. Maybe someone can suggest a good Basic PC for Surfing unless you do more on one. I just Surf..
Mooneyzs Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 A buddy of mine and his wife bought one of those little notebook laptops from bestbuy and I belive it had microsoft word and excel and able to surf the net for 300 bucks or so, I think it was fairly inexpensive. But depending on what you want to do with your computer or the different type of software you want to run on it there could be a big price difference. If you are just doing basic, email, internet, etc... I think some sort of notebook laptop would be pretty good. I also have another buddy that used to go on Tiger Directand he would find smoking deals on PC's... its worth a look
modelhut Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I think I can understand the dilemma. I am unemployed, and live way out in the country. The only way to get internet is satellite or cell-phone type card. Either is expensive, which I can't afford right now. My solution, I go to work with my wife everyday, sit in the office with all of the ladies. I use our laptop and search for jobs, and monitor the modeling forums. Long days, and boring at times, but better than staying at home all day, or paying a dollar an hour for parking so I can do the same thing at the local library! I wish you the best!
