surfjunke Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 The Stude is modified from a Hot Wheels 1/43 Die Cast funny car. Wheels are from Renaissance. The interior is from scratch. The rear of the car was shortened, top was angle chopped & the nose rebuilt from Evergreen. The Blue 356 Porsche is an Old Mikeansue kit that was modified into a Pro Touring car. Wheels are from Robustelli. The interior is also from scratch. Had to vac form windows from new master carved from bass wood. The Porsche 904 was an EBay find that was just a body & chassis pan. Wheels are from Robustelli. The front spoiler & engine scoop is from Evergreen plastic. Windshield & headlight covers were vac formed over a carved bass wood master. Decals were from the stash. The last 2 cars are built from Starter kits with minor details added.
Porky Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Hello, Those are some great looking 1/43 cars you have there. I did not realize anybody here built any small scale stuff. I have 8 or 10 1/43 scale car kits I need to get shut of being I never build any small scale kits anymore.

ScrappyJ Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Nice 1/43s, Scott! I like all of them, but the Stude looks the coolest to me.
surfjunke Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Thank you very much for the comments. Most of my building is in 1/43rd. It is a fun & diverse scale to work in. I also have quite a stash of the AMT 1/43rd scale kits. They are very nice considering the time they were produced.

I have a few of the later issue AMT 1/43's an maybe a few of the monogram's that they issued with the PE parts detail masters I think they called them but most are other resin multi media kits, about all are race cars I think and a couple 1/43 scale semi trucks and even a box full of older resin cast 1/48 scale semi truck cabs ( which turned out to be a bit large to use with the 1/43 cars ), all just collecting dust - Bought them up to do some racing rigs with the semi's for haulers.
simonr Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Nice stuff here, my friend!...Where tou got the Robustelli wheels? Simón P. Rivera Torres
surfjunke Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 Nice stuff here, my friend!...Where tou got the Robustelli wheels? Simón P. Rivera Torres G'Day Simon, Sorry it took me a while to answer. Robutelli has been out of business since the early 1990's. The wheels are from my stash. Sprint 43, Tron & Renaissance make 1/43rd wheels sets. They are available from Grand Prix Models from the United Kingdom. There are a few more manufactures that make wheel sets. Sprint 43 has the largest sellection. Scott
simonr Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Thaks for yhis info. I had order from the Sprint 43 company and they have an awesome stock of wheels, I would like to see the same list in 1/24, it would be real interesting, because, from what I seen, nobody does a so long list of different wheels with their quality and in metal, like them.
