RodneyBad Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 That is a little Rough. Good thing it's in your hands. Super nice scratch built Grill.
Modlbldr Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Bruce- That is a nice start to that grille. You'd better hide that next time I come over. I'd love to take it home. Later-
Railfreak78 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Nice start! I will soon be facing this very issue as I'm going to build a car never made by the models companies but a sister car was.
Space Cowboy Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 I got it painted the color is Testrs Tropical Turquoise with Black interior. More coming soon.
Modlbldr Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Looking really good, Bruce. That grille turned out superb. Later-
RodneyBad Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 IMO, Hard to even till the Grill is scratch built. Looking Sharp.

Grzegorz Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 That came out great! Fantastic way to capture a GMC look! Hi Space Cowboy, nice work
Space Cowboy Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 Got the grill re-done and the body foiled. More coming soon.
MyBradKeselowski Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Great scratchbuilding on the grille I like the color...
mikemodeler Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Nice job, as usual, Bruce in resurrecting someone else's cast off! I am looking to do the same thing (creating a GMC Jimmy) from the Model King's Blazer re-issue but I am taking the lazy way out as I bought the Jimmy conversion kit from Bandit Resins for $14.00. It includes the hood, grille and tailgate and considering I don't possess the same skills as Bruce, I will get my Jimmy! I like the turquoise paint and it should stand out as it is not something you see everyday. I have a can of that same paint and I was planning on using it on some mid-50's Chevies but I might have to re-think that after seeing your Jimmy!
gray07 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Looks great, i will be watching this build, i was just going threw a box of built models and notice i have this one i didnt even no it.
Mudpit602 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Looking great. The wood grain is pretty sharp. Keep the pics coming.
Space Cowboy Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 It's close to being done. More coming soon...
