cobra98 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Hi fellas,I decided to give the dupli-color white primer a try...Since i've never used it before, was wondering, can i use testors paint over it without any problems,or should I just stick with dupli-color products? I've had problems in the past with primer & paints from different manufacturers reacting with one another.
Car Crazy 81 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Joe- If youre using Dupli-Color white primer my best suggestion is i would go with a Dupli-Color paint since that primer is a acrylic lacquer. And Testors paint is an enamel. I use all of Dupli-Color products theyre very awesome and they have a great clearcoat. I use the Dupli-Color Auto Spray & the Truck, Van & SUV paints which you can get at any auto parts supply. What color youre painting youre project because white primer is good for light colors & white.
cobra98 Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 Thanks Rick,I'm thinking of going with a medium metallic blue or green.

You CANNOT use duplacolor over testors duplacolor is lacquer based, testors is enamel based!
