Good Afternoon, I was just wondering if anyone has ever built a Ross Gibson engine & are they worth the price? I have an old model that I had since a kid yes the last time I built models. It is a 65 Time Machine alterd wheelbase Chevelle & thought I might as well dust it off & build it but would like to put a ZL-1 427 in her & just came across these Ross Gibson engines which look nice except for the price. Just wanted to ask you all since you are pros what you think of them? Thank you! Will,

I really like them

But as Mark said they take cleaning and prep work. Make sure to test fit everything.

I have built several Pro Stock Hemis and one injected 392.

I gave one as a gift to a friend and he did not care for it. Just not his cup of tea.

The other thing I see is the Hemi is a bit larger then most kit motors and can cause fit up issues but nothing that can't be fixed.

I think they look great.

I have yet to build one, but I have seen them finished and they look awesome. I'm hoping to get one of his Alley Rat 502's for a 454SS project.

I have only worked with a resin part for a 68 Camaro I'm building I did not know his engines were resin. I can imagine they look great but you are right I better get more experience before trying one it's really no big deal as I did not want to spend that kind of money anyway. Not to say they are not worth it but I have a Allan Green fastback Chevy II that I bought of speed city resin & have no idea on how to put it together. So thank you all for this information just not sure where resin came from & why. I thought it was plastic.
