mackinac359 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Here's the 1st for 2007. I started it back in August. The above photo shows the truck with the frame assembled The finished truck, an '07 357 HeavyHaul with Ultracab roof, 70" sleeper and tridrive. The fuel tanks are CPVC waterpipe wrapped in Mylar chrome with scratchbuilt steps. The 357 started as a Revell of Germany 377 kit. I reworked the hood for the Vocational Hood/HeavyHaul. The frame was stretched and a 3rd axle was added. Number two for the year is on the bench now.. Thanks for looking! Tim www.timstrucks.com
Old Albion Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Tim, Another great build. The more I see of your more modern Pete's the more I am thinking of building a 379. By the way I loved the 379X in black that you built a couple of months ago. What a great looking truck. One question I have regarding the 357 and other US trucks. Why do they have the short bumper leaving the front wheels un protected? Best Wishes Dave Bates
lambertjr Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I like it!! I don't know why, but the low tone color looks great on this truck
SpreadAxle Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 i would love to know how you do the 70" sleepers. good work.
