crazyjim Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 A few people have told me they want to be my friend. When I look at my friends list, it says "PENDING APPROVAL". So how do I go about approving?
george 53 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Jim, just go to their profile page an at the left side of it it'll say, "Add me as a freind" just click on it a Badda Boom, they's yer freind!
george 53 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Well, havein Jim as a freind helped ME out quite immensly. I guess that's a rather vague question Harry. Freinds can be many different things to many different people. Fortunately, I've been lucky and have made MANY freinds here who have helped me out. I hope those who have chosen me are just as glad they did.

george 53 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 To be honest with ya Harry, I don't really know for sure. It adds that person to your personal freinds list, allowing you to have access to their profile page an lets you send them an IM. but other than that, ya got me hoppin Bro.
Harry P. Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 But you can already send anyone a PM without being a "friend"...
Railfreak78 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 All I know was I added George as one on my 1st friends cause he was the cool cat that welcomed me to the forum The others I've added are club guys and some that I "talk" to a lot on here or have similar interests. i don't think it really does anything though...
george 53 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Welp, Harry, I'll be your freind! But like was sayin, I don't really know why it's there, but it is, so, WTF I used it! Turned out OK for me!

That's exactly what I'm asking... what does being a "friend" actually do? Anything?

hemithunder Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 That's exactly what I'm asking... what does being a "friend" actually do? Anything? It puts a link to their profile from yours. So you dont have to look them up.

crazyjim Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 Bob is using the friends feature as a way to keep track of the people he's traded with. That's a good idea and I wish he would have thought of it earlier. I can't remember who I've traded with - if we have, would you please remind me? Thanks.
