Dragline Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Great kit to work with. Out of the box build with a Studio 27 Seatbelt kit as the only add on. I decided to paint the red circle on the hood when the decal folded like Origami [Pun intended] when I hit it with Solva-Set. A great kit that makes any modeler look like a Pro. I'll attach the mirrors when I get some BMF. The Baldwin Motion build took the last I had and I stil have more to do on it. Bob Edited April 4, 2010 by Dragline
935k3 Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) Nice job. Believe it or not the seat belts were not represented in the kit because cars of that era did not have them. I believe about 1968 they became mandatory. Tamiya's decals don't like solvent of any type. I use a hot damp cloth pressed over them to conform them. I only use solvent down in panel lines. Dragline Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 Yes it is enamel I used [Testors 1814]. But I am not worried about yellowing all that much since the paint callout was Tamiya TS-7 which is very off white. If it called for a pure white I would have gone with Tamiya clearcoat on it. I have a can of Tamiya clearcoat. I have the nerve to use it too!!!!! LOL Thanks Dave and 935... Bob
