Mad Slammer Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Hi people. . . I,ve been working on this project for the last couple of days, Hope you like it.
highway Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Nice belly pan mod. Are you using the quickbuiler or full detail kit?
Mad Slammer Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 It's the Quick Builder. . . The underside was too plain, so I added some "access panels". . .Thanks.
ScrappyJ Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) Nice start there, Berto! I like those subtle but well done changes that just goes with a project/build! Edited April 5, 2010 by ScrappyJ
weasel Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 i did one of those... i left the top of the windsheild 'molding' so it had a full frame... then, when polishing the paint, snagged a corner of the frame, DOH!!!...so, lemmonade from lemons, just re-did the 'glass'... i used a dash from a snap Prowler, added another gage[5 total] to balance the dash out...
jedimastergary Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Nice looking so far had one of these kits few years ago but had to return it missing most of the parts no wheels tires or body and it was the last one the store had and i had plans to build it as a custom with wild paint and interior
Mad Slammer Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the comments guys. . . weasel, what interior did you use? I tried to get the one from the Prowler, but it's too wide. . . Edited April 6, 2010 by Mad Slammer
weasel Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 mostly scratch...partsbox seats, modifed Prowler dash, modified Prowler armrests and scratch console...
Mad Slammer Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 A little update, the interior is almost complete and the bodywork is ready for paint. Not sure if I'll leave the radiator/fuel tank parts. I"m not sure if it will be a Curbside anymore? ? ?
iBorg Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 This looks like a project I started several years ago. One thing I struggled with is the front end. I tried to replace the grille with a custom unit. That derailed the project. Looking at your, I might have to pull it out and try again. Mike
weasel Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 i've got another idea for one...gonna use an engine/transaxle from a Lambo Countach mounted in the rear... Alumborghini Couptach Roadster...lol
Mad Slammer Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 I Painted this thing last sunday. . . Hope you like it. . .
Modlbldr Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Nice body work and color. You've done a great job. I'd lose those Prowler tires and wheels though. They make it look like a toy. Just my $.02. Later-
Mad Slammer Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks for the comments, I managed to finish it tonight. Look for the pics in the "On the Glass" section. . . Preview. . .
