Iam starting to build a replaca of my girlfrinds car im haveing trouble finding a hood that looks like the one she has on her car any help finding this?im including the pics of the car and kit that im begining with.its a amazing car for an amazing women.it is a cervini hood i saw something similer on a 73 kit but not sure.

If you are starting with the 1/25th AMT (ex-MPC) Mustang GT kit, you are about out of luck on the hood. Best to find a wrecked 1/25th 71 Mach1 and use its hood for the center section to graft into the 87-93 hood.

The AMT kit is somewhat cheesy in its' own right, being it was cast sometime in 1978 for the 1979 Debut of the Fox. The chassis is horribly simplified and the rear subframes hang down entirely too low for any realism, the front K-Member is terribly simplified and lacking in any real good detail, and the interior is very plain on detail. As to fixing the chassis woes, find the 1/25th AMT 94-95 Mustang GT and use the chassis (and engine) out of it.

Also, I see she has the Stalker front bumper on the car....you can modify the kits bumper to somewhat replicate this piece. Being as your pics are horribly small; I think your girls car has t-tops. If so, it would be an 87-88. Luckily, the kit includes the ttop bar, as the kit it was modified from had ttop option available.
