Guest Mustang3.8 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Hey, y'all. I have a built up 1970 MPC Bonneville that i bought off Ebay some time ago. It is painted a dark green with a black viynal roof, and interior. Should I disassemble it and re-paint it? I'm pretty sure this is an original kit. Any imput would be great. I'll post pics ASAP.
diymirage Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 its yours now but you didny build it so if it were my call it would iether be dissasembked and rebuild or it would be stripped for parts
Junkman Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Unbuilt kits are meant to be built, built kits are meant to be restored.
Harold Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Restore it. If it was built (poorly), do that Poncho justice. Edited April 19, 2010 by Harold
Eshaver Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Ya might as well go an re- build it if it's what you say it is . I for one certainly would . Ed Shaver

Ed Shaver I can't count the number of models I have saved like that! I would say the best I have built (or should say "rebuilt") were models that someone else gave me that were in terrible shape when I got them! I think I enjoy the challenge more and get more satisfaction when I save one!
