pete359driver Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 hey everyone, ive started tearing into my snap 359 project and i want to lower the front end, before i start cutting into my suspension,i want to know how some of you guys have gone about it. thanks,Greg
ratrodder Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Try putting a lip on the edge of the front fender. Also you can lower the suspension a little but the lip around the fender will really change the appearance. ratrodder
pete359driver Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 thanks doug, but i was wanting to keep the body stock,im going for an old school look(not overdone)but i do want to lower it. i guess the better question to ask is where on the front suspention should i cut it?
mackinac359 Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I think the easiest way with this kit is to grind out a small portion of the springs to bring the axles up slightly. You might have to add some additional plastic or brass to the hidden side of the springs to keep them rigid. Most model kits sit a bit too high in my opinion and could use a tad bit of lowering. A 'low rider' type would need slightly more lowering. Tim
