crazyjim Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Here's some pics of my latest build. HOK candy Brandywine with Tamiya TS65 clear, Novos #2, and then finished with Model Car Wax. The wheels came from the parts bin. Interior is flocked, BMF, polished aluminumn exhaust, wired engine.
Zhu Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 That’s a very nice build indeed, I like it a lot. If you’ll indulge me one quick question; Would it be appropriate to run a black wash into the radiator grill to define the grill bars, or did these cars have a solid chrome grill as the model has. Dave.
crazyjim Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 Thanks Dusty. The grill is solid and I did put a black wash on it to look like the bars were seperate. Maybe I should have put on another coat to further define them.
crazyjim Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 That sounds like a lot of work, Lee, but the flat black would probably covered better. I guess it's back out to the shop.
aksarben Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 pretty cool, very nice interior, engine detail and the wash on the manifold looks great.
nails3825 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Beautiful car... and that interior, wow! It looks like you can fit a family of ten in there ~ very roomy

Dave. 1st off this is a great build of a awsome car. 2nd the factory painted the front grill black inside the horizontal bars the grill wasnt chrome at all it was a polished aluminum (I know because I own the actual 1:1) heres what I did with the front grill on the model im building Edited June 20, 2010 by Aftashox
David G. Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 A clean build with great color choices! I especially like the stance in the profile shot. The car looks like it's ready to leap foreward!
