geckoman1220 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 hello all, this is my first WIp on this forum so let get started. I am currently building two Nissan 350Zs. I am rebuilding a Tamiya nissan 350Z (2003 i think) and Aoshima 2007 Nissan 350Z. 1. Aoshima plans: white, scratch built front lip, bronze Volks, dual exhaust, racing seats, intercooler ( no turbo cause no engine haha) 2. Tamiya plans, a simple re-built, sunset le mans (orange), intercooler, everything else stock pics of Aoshima kit. heres the front lips made from Milputty and bondo interior is almost done! pics of the tamiya kit still need clear coat chassis is almost complete, at least the aoshima kit has separate exhaust. be social and write some stuff!!!!!
nails3825 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Good color choice! These cars always look better with a more exotic color on them your build's coming along great ~ I'll be watching as you post more!
jbwelda Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 nice. good job on the interior and that orange paint looks killer. are you going to detail paint the chassis or just flat black? those should look great slammed into the weeds!

geckoman1220 Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 okay, got alot more done, mainly to the tamiya one. on the aoshima one i primed the body and did a little detailing the the chassis. the tamiya one got cleared, wheels painted, chassis mainly done except for the muffler 1. aoshima 2007 nissan 350Z: 2.Tamiya 2003 Nissan 350Z I gave the chassis a good treatment of dry-brushing to simulate daily driver wear and tear from 2003. this is where the color pops, after clear in the sun. now i have to wait a week to polish the clear. the wheels were silver, but i sprayed a good few coats of one coat lacquer, graphite metallic. not too dark, just has a nice almost stock coloring to them. subtle!
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Paint is fantastic... Those wheels are awesome, keep it up
