Modlbldr Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Eelco- Nice looking custom Cuda. Years ago I started a 69 Camaro with a Superbird nose and wing. Someday I'll finish it. Later-
Nick Winter Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Eelco, mu photobucket screwed up but both of my cars are done and will be posted after I fix my new photobucket.
diymirage Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Eelco, mu photobucket screwed up but both of my cars are done and will be posted after I fix my new photobucket. whenever you get them done just post them right here and ill set up the poll (didnt want to set up a poll with only my car in there)
Nick Winter Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 whenever you get them done just post them right here and ill set up the poll (didnt want to set up a poll with only my car in there) I just gotta put them in the new account.
kyledr330 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Here is my entry for the muscle car build: 1969 Dodge Super Bee I added: seat belts, flocking, and real wood on dash, brake lines, battery cables, oil dipstick, heater hoses, and BMF. Color is Dupli-Color Electric Currant Red.
crazyjim Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I think I'm going to enjoy these posts. Eelco - where did you get those wheels and tires? I gotta have some of them!!!
Nick Winter Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Number 37 and 40 checking in here, #37 '69 Torino Talledega Edited June 1, 2010 by Dukefan69'
diymirage Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 I think I'm going to enjoy these posts. Eelco - where did you get those wheels and tires? I gotta have some of them!!! the tires are just generic muscle car tires, i think the rears came with a revell charger the spyder rims came with a firebird i build (cant remember the company or year) i have a slightly miss matched set in my parts box (two and two) shoot me a PM with an offer if you really want them
cruz Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Here is entry number 51 but let it be clear that it's not an 1872!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
Scalper Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 nice 1872 Olds. ahead of its time. love the AMC one too.
Brizio Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 This is my Wild Bee (69 Super Bee)... I had a lot of fun building this car... I scratch-build: the rear trailer, except the horse, all the intakes and turbos on the engine, guns, horn, lowered the car, steering wheels, key knob, gear shift, saddles, door rest, door handle, pedals, rear cover, horse shoe, rear rifle carrier, guitar, tow package, exhaust, wipers engine, other stuff on the engine compartment, broom, water bucket... The wheels are made by 3 parts. Some other parts are modified... Like front grille. The twin Turbo 426... Follow... The Trailer with the stripes... The box for carry it...
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Here's my entery #47. A '72 H/O Cutlass hardtop. I used Revell's new '72 H/O and grafted a modified '70 Monte Carlo roof onto it. I decided to add redlines to the tires. I decided to go black with the gold H/O markings. I also detailed the brakelights with a black Sharpie. I plan to build another. Enjoy the pics.
diymirage Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 i added a poll of all the cars that have been posted in this thread (that were also in the origenal post of course) i will ad others as thier cars are posted i also took the liberty to cast the first vote, my vote went to brizios 69 wild bee because it has the ultimate musclecar engine in it (hemi) and it is twin turbod plus, all the custom work didnt hurt either
meaneyme Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I am voting for the '72 Hurst Olds, the engine and chassis detail are very well done, looks like a real car if photographed with the right background. Interior is gorgeous also, I love what he did with the panel lines all around considering that it's a white car, they just look perfect.
cotto Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I am also going with the Olds done by Cruz, I saw this in person and believe me, pictures don't do it justice. Paint was just so clean and the overall look of the model was so realistic.

Paint was just so clean and the overall look of the model was so realistic. I think with only 8 of the 51 entries posted so far, it is too early to place a vote. I feel it is only fair to the other builders who have not posted the finished builds yet.

I just think everyone should refrain from voting like I'm going to do until more do have a chance to post their work.
59-Desoto Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Here's entry #16, my '69 AMX I ready like your build up on the AMX the wheels and color really look era correct. Great looking ANX .
slant6 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Here's mine. #35, 1970 Dodge Challenger Before anyone says it, I know the inspection sticker is way to big, it was the first time doing custom stuff like that and it was stuck before I realized it was to big, oh well, it does look alot bigger in the picture than it really is though. It was alot of fun to do this community build, it my first one and I will be doing others.
Brizio Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I think too that would be better wait all the models before voting. @Diymirage, maybe (this because you proposed/organized this community build) you should find all the model's pics (the finished one)that are in this community build, and paste in this topic. Just for have ll them in the first page. Just a though...
crazyjim Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 The due date was June 1, 2010. People who signed up for the build knew that and should have been ready. I voted for the AMX because I love that car and the model was build in great detail and is gorgeous. And no, I wasn't a contestant.
