just opened a kit ive had a few years,its the pete 377 by italeri, the engine is the detroit 60. what color is the real engine?

its kinda olive green with a lil grey in it, lol hope this helps

That's a Detroit Series 60. I have the actual paint used on the real engine. It's a medium blueish grey. You can get the actual engine paint from the auto parts store.

The color I have always heard of for the Detroits is called Detroit Diesel Alpine Green.

In the 377, the engine should be Detroit Diesel Blue. The Alpine Green was used on the older engines.

i researched it on google cause i have a detroit in 377 kit also, tim as usual is right on the money. detroit blue duplicolor part # DE1683. are you gonna show this biuld to us here in the forum? id like to see how it turns out
