JdKustomModels Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I use tamiya clear paints on lightbars. i was just sent a lightbar that this guy wanted redone........ my question is this: can you take the paint off without ruining the clarity of the plastic? the light bar he sent back is blue and now he wants it red
Steve H. Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I've used Scale Coat II to remove Tamiya Smoke from glass... no problem. Just be careful if you have to scrub it, it might soften a little and pick up scratches. Your lightbars are Styrene, right? All bets are off if they are resin cast, at least using scale coat. You might want to test some clear sprue by painting and stripping it..
