crazyjim Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I did it yesterday - went online and paid for a 2 year subscription to MCM. Hope the issues get here in pristine condition.
Greg Cullinan Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Cool!! Forward it to me when your done flipping through it
Harry P. Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Cool!! Forward it to me when your done flipping through it Or here's an idea... get your own subscription! (Actually, if you subscribe it's cheaper than buying the magazine one issue at a time.)
crazyjim Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Yeah, Harry. The per copy price is cheaper and I won't have a 40 mile drive so I'll also save gas. I dod have a major concern that the magazine will show up in mint condition, but I'll wait and see. And besides, I figure paying for a subscription somehow supports this forum and I'm pleased to do that.
Greg Cullinan Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Without a doubt! I actually got my first MCM yesterday, older prints and I am so impressed with the content. I only got through 5 pages in the time I'm usually done some OTHER mags. I have to subscribe since I live in a metropolitan area with 2.5 million people and 7 hobby shops within 20 minutes and noone carries MCM! Btw Harry, did I mention we were down 3-0 to the Bruins? Or here's an idea... get your own subscription! (Actually, if you subscribe it's cheaper than buying the magazine one issue at a time.)
High octane Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Jim, Pristine condition??? Good luck. Out of the last 5 or 6 issues, only one arrived in pristine condition in my mailbox. I've talked to other people and they have had no problem with their issues arriving in good conditon, go figure?
crazyjim Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 I paid good money for a subscription. I held off for quite sometime because I was concerned about getting the magazine in sad condition. Hopefully they will arrive with no rips or tears. If not, I have the phone number and won't hesitate to make a call for a replacement. If I need to, I'll make a real stink and demand my money back. Like I siad, I paid good money and deserve a magazine in good condition.
crazyjim Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 That's the tune. I can understand lodging a complaint at the local post office, but also the need to inform corporate that you won't tolerate crumpled issues.
Guest Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Like I have said before, it's NOT my post office, all, and I mean ALL my other mags come pristine, EVERY issue! I am NOT exsagerating.
