Greg Myers Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I saw somewhere Lindberg was scratchin' around trying to reissue this kit.I hope it makes it.http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com/kits/images/CarLindbergh/lindberg-bullhorn1.jpg
ZIL 111V Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Sure would be nice to see this kit comeback after nearly 30 years of vanishing. Originaly made by Pyro in the mid 60's, the kit ended with Lindberg when Pyro closed shop. The "corny" "Bull Horn" version was the last time this kit was available back in the late 70's.
Junkman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Gosh would this be nice. I know this kit and it is a gem. There were more 1/16 scale show rods by Pyro, I wish they would bring them all back. Not sure whether they are related, but I seem to remember the Gee-T, Sno-Skeeter, Serpent and of course the Laramie Stage Ghost. If all these were reissued, kitbashing them with all the Model Ts, As and Revell 34s out there would yield endless opportunities to build proper 1/16th scale hot rods. Am I a dreamer, or what?
flamefink Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Anyone hear anymore on this? Awhile back, my dad said he saw someone posting on another forum looking for a chrome tree to copy for the Laramie Stage Ghost for a possible reissue. I guess the guy supposedly has the molds for the kit except for the chrome tree. Gosh would this be nice. I know this kit and it is a gem. The Bull Horn, Gee-t, Sno-Skeeter, Serpent and Laramie Stage Ghost all use the same basic chassis, engine, wheels tires, etc... with the only exception being the Sno-Skeeter which had no front wheels. The bodies were even very similar and all (except the Laramie Stage Ghost) could be turned into your typical T-Bucket with a little work. I'd be glad to see any of the series come back in a reissue. I'm sure the nicely detailed small block chevy with six deuces and "pie crust" slicks would be welcomed by the other 1/16 scale hot rod builders too
AzTom Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I this this was going to be about a Big Dodge truck Put me on the list for a few of these. I need a nice small block Chevy for tractor project AzTom
