NickTheGreek
A little project I've been working on over the past month on and off. I don't have a tripod or remotely decent lighting so bear with the pictures. The initial mock up just to see how the stance was. I think it sits pretty well so I'm not gonna mess with it. Here's where I am with the engine. I'll probably put some plug wires on it but that might be the extent.

NickTheGreek
Almost finished with the engine and trans. Need to do a few detail things.
NickTheGreek
I'm not sure. Still trying to decide between black or a two tone black and silver with black on top.

NickTheGreek
I think I've got the paint scheme I'm gonna use. A real quick color change. Dark part here will be black and the top of the car silver. http://www.bstuff.com/index.php?act=Attach...st&id=15050
NickTheGreek
I made my first attempt at drilling and wiring the plugs. This turned out to be much more difficult than I thought but you can only learn by doing.
jbwelda
nice motor there! if i may make a suggestion, its a lot easier to drill for wiring before assembling the motor (both distributor and the plugs), and even easier (though details suffers a bit) to use a pre-wired distributor which are easily found in the aftermarket. but like you said, the only way to learn is to do! be sure to post some "done" photos when the time comes! NickTheGreek
Actually, drilling the holes was pretty easy. Putting the wires in was the difficult part. I'll just have to be very careful next time. PS. I used a hot needle to make pilot holes in the plastic then drilled with a bit a little larger than the wire. Guest zebm1
Only 1 question, are tha spark plug wires leaving tha distrubutor cap in tha correct firing order? Or ifn it was real, would it start or backfire and break? Zeb
NickTheGreek
I knew someone would ask that and honestly, for the first try I wasn't really concerned with that.
NickTheGreek
New update. Things go kind of slow when you're working and going to school. This interior picture isn't up to date though and I'm too lazy to take it apart to get a picture. I used HOK Candy Apple Red over their silver base coat. I wasn't too pleased with the way it came out of the can. Kind of spattered out. First can I've seen do that. Perhaps when I get done with school in june I'll invest in an airbrush. I also chose not to use the side scoops or mirrors just to smooth things out a bit. Still needs a polish and bmf. I'm also looking at some photoetch details for the emblems. On with the pictures. None of the major parts are glued. I still need to sand and clear
hogs29
Great work Nick! I love the choice of wheels. Sets off this body style nicely. Interior looks great too! Very clean.
NickTheGreek
I still need to pick up some foil, photo etched emblems and clear. It will be a couple of weeks before it is all done since finals are next week. One question though. Should I put the foil on after I clear it? This will be my first time using it. Mike
Coming along nicely. You've done very well with the interior. The seats look great.
